DAMN....

well..seems like im still not keeping up wit my promise of writing at least once a week....but due to the hectic schedule i keep reguarding this music biz...ill let it slide...lol aint like yall read this anyways...

nothin really new to report...just waiting patiently to record and finalize this 4th album of mines entitled "cassette music"....got a slew of mixtapes and my first blend cd on deck for release in the next few months...as well as a couple of podcasts for free download for the masses...other than that ya boy been in grind mode heavy...currently listening to "window seat" by erykah badu...sorta explains the way of thinking for me right about now...til next week...all yall be easy...

well cottdamn its been what...MONTHS since i been back up in here?? must say...a LOT has changed..some for better...some for the greatest!! in all ...love where im at right now...wouldnt want it no other way...new management, and new projects that keep me busy....all i can say is that im blessed...kremlin beats 3 is on deck to be released soon and i couldnt be more happier....i promise to keep this blog goin at least once a week..now that im caught up wit extra curriculars...lol....

its been like 2 months since i been here...but i promise to be more consistant....well...ALOT has changed since i been here...wont even BEGIN to go into detail, i can jus say that ....mentally, and spiritually im in a WAY better place, happy isnt even the place i could begin, but at the end of the day, u live and u learn, i regret nothing, but kno what to look for and how to spot red flags for the future..

ive changed the new album title to "Cassette Music", seeing as how the old one held too much weight, this way it seems like a new/fresh start to my career, the kremlin beats series are finally finished and will be available for download/sale in the next week, and im gettin ready to hit the bahamas in 2 weeks for the march madness dj event...so it seems as if everything is coming full circle...its just like they say, when 1 door closes, another one opens, but in this case, its like i got a plethora of doors opening like a mufukka...and trust me, im walkin in ALL those mufukkas...it sorta sucks being the one in control of ur career, but at the same time u build that business sense back up...got a meeting with 2 managers who run 2 lounges in manhattan, so im keeping my fingers crossed at the moment...

cleaning out my closet...

NO...im literally cleaning out my closet...i found like ...98783 white tee shirts from over the past 6 yrs...all with the neck all stretched out...lol...i found red monkey and evisu jeans...(do they still wear those shits???) and a von dutch hat...wtf?? this shit is hilarious...a great way to spend a sunday morning...anyhoo...

i figured imma take a break from music for a sec...its one thing to be active and keep ur name out there..but its another to be soooooo caught up in the midst of working, and u let the days go by...i needed last nite...but i kno me...lol...i dont wanna get to far gone from the act of making music that i jus dont wanna do it anymore...too much material sits in my harddrives to not be shared....but im still patiently waiting for friday to get here...i got some tricks up my sleeve for the rock n soul dj friday event...practicing wit my boy dj northstarr for some last minute tricks...shouts to u fam...in any event...til the next posting...

week in review....

maaaaaaaaan i tell ya....in a second..ur life can change...can u imagine what the fuck could happen in a week??? lol....lots to report...but most to keep..in any event...its still forward movement as usual...rocked out at the station (91.3 fm) all day for thanxgiving...got to see my favorite auntie's in town the next day..and killed em wit o.t. at the job...

music wise...be on the lookout for kremlin beats...still comin soon, jus might not be on the date previously noted...after some brief counseltation, gotta revamp a few tracks...got a gig this friday at rock and soul that im secretly DYING to hurry up and get here...never kno who's gonna be in the building, so i really gotta bring my "a" game... gotta hit the pressing shop monday and get copies made....gotta give to get...

personal side...all i can say is...ya win some, ya lose some...lots on my mind...but i WILL channel it thru my music..."tekwun is...smitty rollins" will be the most personal project i will embark on...i jus started writing for the first single yesterday... "where im from"... in any event...will be back soon!! HA!!

as im nearing the end of vol. 1 for my "kremlin beats" series...im hit wit a text..."hit me back" from my boy...calls him up..he proceeds to tell me him and his wife jus lost their baby...automatically my heart and condolences went out to him and his fam...things like that....sorta make u look at life kinda twisted...i mean...just that quick, u can be given a life...and have it taken away from u, which is why i push the "u live once" motto....people take life for granted nowadays...and no matter what kind of way u look at it...its precious..every fuckin moment is precious...so i say...if u love someone..fuck that..let em kno...lifes too fuckin short for all the hatred...accomplish as much as u can while ur here on this earth...cuz just that fast...it can be taken away from u.... rest in peace to _________ (not gonna give names.....)

workin on (ok i kno i was supposed to start the beginning of the week, but shut up!!! lol) kremlin beats...this is some theraputic shit...alot of these tracks i forgot existed...or was for some other aspiring mcs..and they jus forgot to conveniently pay me for em...so imma bless the public with em...its a great thing also cuz it shows the progress of me as a beat maker to a producer...yes there is a major difference in between the two.... so i hope to have this project (2 cds) finished hopefully within the next month...i really dont wanna give myself a time limit cuz ill be here all day as witnessed by the creation of "sounds of the lost art"...which if by the way u dont have a copy of that...imma need u to do better and copp that shit... that is all...
